Great Pyrenees dog who was chased from farm he was meant to protect by resident livestock guardian dog finally trapped and found foster home after months of abandonment and intense Texas heat, rescuer says: ‘He’s no longer disposable. He is loved.’

Some dogs get lucky in life, they are adopted into pawfect families, full of love, attention, toys and food. But others like this one in this story, do not get their lives of to the greatest starts, but with the right kind of help, they do get better.

When it comes to working dogs there exists a whole different set of rules. Rules regarding their treatment and behavior are much looser than pet doggos, and considering that many of these working dogs live in incredibly remote locations you can understand how many cases of mistreatment easily fly under the radar. Which is what happened to this Great Pyrenees pupper who was shipped across the whole of the USA to work on a farm. Upon arrival he was isolated, neglected and not even shown the ropes by his new pawrents.

So it came as little to no surprise when he was introduced to his livestock guardian partner that the meeting did not go well as the resident doggo felt threatened by the presence of a new pupper on the farm. Suffice it to say that from here things took a significant turn for the worse as our pyrenees pupper was chased away, but lucky for him things would soon start turning his way.

Goodness what a welcome that must have been for this poor giant pupper. To be shipped across the whole country only to be neglected in a stable and then attacked and chased off the very property that you were brought to protect is no less than a nightmare for a pupper. It would be heckish for a hooman in the same position, much less so a darling doggo who barely understands the significance of what has happened to him. To him he is all alone in a word that seems to not want anything to do with him.

Well, at least he spent his day in the trap, safe from the aggression of other doggos who might not take his presence too kindly and retraumatize this poor pupper. What an ordeal he has gone through up until this point in his life. Could you imagine having to go through all of these terrible experiences all before the age of 10? How he is meant to cope with what he has been through is very much beyond us. We only hope that his next home will be his final one and that it will be filled with all the love this doggo deserves and has never received.
